Brief Description:  Control Column to Bellcrank Pushrod

I finally got back into the garage for the first time in two months. I can't remember the "official part name" at the moment, but I installed the smaller pushrod that runs from the control column to the bellcrank. It took me two hours (on top of the time I spent previously) to install the two bolts, washers and nuts in each end of the rod. Even with Avery washer wrenches, I dropped the thin washers what felt like a thousand times. All of my superglue was dried up and I couldn't get the safety wire "trick" to work. Earlier in the day, we had our EAA meeting and a friend of mine told how he nearly had to bail out of his plane recently after a control stick failure that could have been prevented if two washers weren't missing on either side of a bearing that failed. Timely message, as I was very close to throwing in the towel on ever being able to get those things installed! I will try to get a picture tomorrow, as I was just too worn out to take one today.
