Brief Description:  Cabin Frame

Lots of work involved in the cabin frame. It took me nearly three hours to fabricate the F-631D and F-631C brackets. I tweaked my bandsaw blade and probably need to buy a new one. I didn't stop long enough to see if I broke any teeth. I cut the F-631B-L to length (the F-631B was already the proper length) and drilled and clecoed them to the aft bow pieces. I then clamped the forward bow pieces in place and drilled and clecoed them. The worse part was marking the bows where they needed to be drilled. I apparently was mathematically challenged today. I measured, divided, and then translated the result to the nearest 1/16". I then somehow mismarked the lines and thought I had divided by one too many spaces. I finally got my act together and got it marked, drilled and clecoed. Once everything was clecoed together, I measured the height of the frame. I found that I needed to remove nearly 3/32" of an inch. The bandsaw and a Vixen file made quick work of that. It's time to disassemble, edge finish, deburr, countersink, and prime the parts. I may save the painting for next weekend and move on to something else tomorrow.
