Brief Description: Preparing to Drill the Aft Deck
I wanted to rivet the skins to the longerons Thursday night, but discovered that I was out of AN426AD3-5 rivets. My neighbor Jon came over and I gave him the toolbox kit that Ginger and I bought for him at Sun N Fun. We worked on that for a few hours and he did a great job. This morning, I realized that I I had some rivets in the finish kit so I robbed Peter to pay Paul. I squeezed the rivets to the longerons and then leveled the fuselage side to side and fore and aft. I clamped the aft deck into place and began to drill. I also clecoed the F-721B side rails into place and began to trim the F-757 gussets for the tip up canopy. I marked the location and used a unibit to get the 1/8" radius in the corners. Jon came over and we worked on his toolbox until I misunderstood the directions for the hinge. I will order more rivets when I order a new hinge.
