Brief Description:  More Center Fuselage Work

Joe gave up his Sunday morning and came over to look over my progress. I asked him a million and one questions and clarified my direction going forward. We decided to postpone bending the longerons. Joe suggested that I modify two additional seat ribs to provide better access for the control column. We discussed how to mount the ADHRS (in the future) and I decided to forgo using the ADHRS mount kit that I picked up some time ago. I fabbed up two more Seat Rib Access Plates from some scrap I had lying around the shop. I shot the Seat Rib Access Plates with Napa 7220 and riveted them together. After that, it was time to disassemble the Center Fuselage and prep it for priming. Lots of holes to deburr and dimple and edges to smooth. I didn't get it finished before I called it a day. Before I quit, I used a Unibit to drill two more holes in the F-705 bulkhead. I will run some conduit through these holes to use for any wiring that won't fit in the center tunnel. I was going to install all of the flooring with platenuts, but after talking to Joe, I decided to use the LP4-3 pulled rivets. Installing the conduit will make future wiring easier. I went ahead and placed an order with Van's for the ELT and Strobe Powerpack mounting kits. I also placed an order with Wicks for some NAS1097AD3.-3.5 rivets for mounting platenuts, AN5-7A bolts for the crotch strap mounts and a few more #40 drills.
