Althought the instruction manual becomes less specific the further along in the build, you still must READ THE MANUAL! I began the evening by final drilling the F-704C L&R to F-704A and F-704D L&R to F-704B. The next step is fabricating the F-633 Control Column Mounts. I marked and drilled the upper holes per the plans. I then thought it would be cool to get a picture of one mount "in progress" after removing the extra material together with the uncut mount. I measured and marked one mount per the plans and cut it on the bandsaw. I then READ THE MANUAL which clearly states to bolt the mounts to the F-704B through the upper hole, square them, clamp them, and then matchdrill the lower hole before cutting away the excess material. This is more difficult to do correctly after you have cut out a large portion of the clamping surface. Not impossible, but definitely more challenging. As I was clearly too tired to be building, I stopped for the night and didn't even take any pictures (yet). I will continue tomorrow. Edit: Added a token picture.
