Brief Description:  Right Wing Landing Light, Bottom Skin

Joe Tierney (EAA 1379 Tech Counselor and RV-7 Builder) came by and inspected my wings and pronounced them ready to close. He gave me a lot of good tips and answered the page and a half of questions I had prepared for him. We then went to lunch where I pestered him with even more questions.

When I returned home, I pulled the wires for the landing light, taxi light, stall warning horn, and strobe lights through the wings. I placed an order with Stein for more wire and tools (particularly the wire for the LED nav lights). After I hit the submit button, I found the screen informing me that the order will ship after they return from Oshkosh. Oh well. On a side note, is there any particular reason why Aircraft Spruce charges nearly double for their wire as Stein? I love ACS' fast shipping, but not that much.

With help from my wife (who has infinitely more patience than I), we managed to get the Whelen Parmetheus landing light mounted in the right wing. I checked it with my mower battery and it looks great!

I began riveting the right bottom skin in the wing walk bay area. I followed Van's directions of riveting toward the tip and then halfway up the bay, doing the same thing on the next bay and then finishing the first. At least I followed the directions for the first bay and then promptly had a brain fart and finished the second bay before starting the third. Hopefully, it will be a non-event. I'll find out in the morning.
