Brief Description:  Rivet Left Wing Top Skins

I drilled the aileron leading edge skins to the galvanized counterbalance pipe with an old bit and promptly threw it (the used bit!) into the trash upon completion. I used a 12" #30 to drill the inner tabs on the leading edge ribs to the pipe. It fit through a #30 hole in the spar reinforcement plate and then I was able to drill the tab.

Ginger was kind enough to come out to the garage and shoot the left wing top skin rivets. She did a great job. If I didn't enjoy building so much, I would let her build the entire plane-she's a perfectionist. The wings are now ready to come off of the stands and go into the (as yet unconstructed) wing cradles. It's time for some woodworking.
