Brief Description: Construct Trap Doors and Begin Sealing Ribs
I drilled the new T-405 tank angle and T-410 backing plate for the right tank. I still need to construct the T-405 tank angle for the left tank but I need a new blade for the bandsaw and Home Depot no longer stocks them in-store. This time I began with the 9/16" hole for the flop tube and the loosely fastened the nut to the elbow to make sure that the remaining holes had plenty of clearance. I constructed the trap doors from some spare aluminum and riveted them to the ribs. I am going to install the ribs using the "fay sealing" method described in the archives of VAF. I began with ribs "2-6" in the right tank tonight. Ginger came out and helped me get them installed. I will let them set over night and rivet them tomorrow evening.
