Brief Description:  Rivet Trailing Edge of Rudder

I spent the last few days working on the kitchen cabinets. I finally got back to the plane today. I pulled the clecos and backriveted the trailing edge. I was confused over the process described in the manual and it seems from reading other build logs that I am not alone in that regard. Joe gave me directions over the phone the other day that I tried to follow. At first I thought it came out pretty straight but when I looked at it later it appears it may be slightly off. I will take it to the EAA meeting on Saturday and get Joe and the others to look at it. I finished riveting the skins to the ribs. I was able to squeeze or buck all of them except the last one on either side of the R-903 tip rib nearest the trailing edge. I tried to buck them with a large, flat blade screwdriver and a small crow bar. No joy. I did succeed in putting some small dents in my rudder skin. I resorted to using a pulled rivet as listed as an alternative in the build manual. I wished that I had done that prior to denting the skin but I suppose it will all come out in the paint shop!
