Brief Description:  ProSeal Rudder Trailing Edge, Final Drill, Deburr

I worked last night, but before getting a few hours sleep today I wanted to ProSeal the trailing edge of the rudder. I had read the horror stories about the smell, but although I wouldn't recommend it as a cologne, it didn't run me out of the garage. Joe called the other day and gave me the ins and outs of prepping the ProSeal and how to apply it. I followed his directions as best I could and I think it came out well with minimum fuss. The tube shown in the picture is far more ProSeal than needed. I ordered it before I read other builders' logs recommending purchasing only the smaller amount for the rudder. C'est la vie. I have a three day weekend so if I can get by on a minimum of sleep I will get back into the garage today and resume working on the elevators. I would like to have all of the elevator parts ready to prime this weekend should the rain stop.

I got back out to the garage and final drilled the left elevator. I deburred and edge finished all of the stiffeners and skins. I dimpled the skins and prepared the E-615PP for the K-1100-06 platenuts only to find that I don't have any of them. Time to find a local source for this miscellaneous hardware. I would like to get the elevators primed and back-riveted before our EAA meeting next Saturday as Joe is bringing his trailing edge brake to the meeting for me to borrow.
