Brief Description:  First Coat of Paint

You can only wait so l long I guess before a decision must be made... in my case it was about how to paint the cabin interior. After studying the admonitions about the HVLP system, and knowing I wanted to approach this slowly, I decided NOT to use the HVLP system since cleaning would be required between each coat of paint.

I had previously testing using the Tractor Supply Light Gray Ford Enamel for Tractor, Trucks and Implements - and obtained a desirable finish. So, since the masking was all done, decided to proceed.

All of the exposed areas in the cabin are previously primed due to the QB from Vans. Lightly sanded these surfaces using a Scotch Brite pad, and then cleaned the area with Acetone.

After the Acetone evaporated, proceeded with painting the cabin, starting with the rear baggage compartment area moving forward, top to bottom, on one side, then proceeded to the other.

I used my Hi-Intensity Halogen light stand to light up the side to be painted, and then move the light stand to the opposite side for painting the opposite side of the cabin.

The weather was perfect for this operations, quite unusual for July 4, low humidity and relatively low temperature for July.
