Brief Description:  Rear Baggage Area Wiring Harness

I never solved to my satisfaction how the wiring was secured for wires passing on the left and right side of the rear baggage compartment. In other parts of the fuse, I used cushion wedge clamps to secure the wiring, but it’s not possible here. Came up with this solution. Since the wiring is already done, this is a bit creative.

Measured, marked and cut small tabs of aluminum about 3” length, .75” width. Trimmed each tab about 3/16” at one end, to account for the longeron width. Marked the center of the wider portion of each table for a hole, then drilled to accept a snap bushing.

Cut the snap bushing with Exacto blade and cut the bottom of the tab intersecting the hole previously drilled. Bent the tab 90% at roughly the mid-point. Clamped the tabs to the fuse longeron and match drilled #40, then #30 two holes in common with the longeron, removed and deburred. Countersunk the #30 holes for CS4-4 blind rivets.

For each snap bushing and tab, placed on the wire bundle sliding sidewise to minimize the opening required, then inserted the snap bushing into the tab opening. Clamped each tab in place using clecoes then blind riveted the tabs to the longeron using CS4-4 rivets.
