Brief Description: Interior Light Bus and Dimmer Control
Decided to use the dimmer control sold by Van's for a single control for the interior light bus. This will be connected to the GMC305 A/P Controller, the GTR200 radio, the GMS240 Audio Panel and the GDU 460 EFIC.
• Made a template for drilling the (4) holes for mounting the dimmer controller. I was not sure yet where this would mount, but eventually decided to make a small tray that mounts to the avionic bay forward skin above the ground bus.
• Marked and drilled a hole in the instrument panel for the dimmer control, installed. • Connected the dimmer control to the controller with supplied wires. • Connected power off of the Navigation light at the exterior light bus to the dimmer controller. This means to use the interior light bus, the navigation lights must be on. • Connected the output from the dimmer controller to the interior light bus (another terminal strip) • Connected the HI side circuits to the interior light bus • Connect the LO side circuits to ground.
