Brief Description:  GEA 24 Backshell Assembly

Continued working towards completing the (4) backshell assemblies required for the Garmin GEA 24 Engine Sensor LRU. The GEA 24 mounts in the avionics bay, with connections to the engine sensors for EGT (4), CHT (4), Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure Fuel Flow and Manifold Pressure.

Non-Engine sensors include the L-R Fuel Capacity, Master Warning and Caution, Flap and Elev Trim position, and several others,

The basic process is to identify the connector and backshell assembly needed, identify the appropriate wire, prepare the wire for a pin (male or female) by stripping the outer cover, trimming the shield (if required), and stripping the wire insolation. Crimp the pin, then attach a solder sleeve with ground wire (if required), and then attach a ring connector to the ground wire. Most of the grounds will attach to the backshell assembly.
