Received the P-Leads from Bogert Aviation, very pleased with the quality of the work in fabricating the leads. I did have to measure the distance required for the left and right leads for the order, happy to find the measurements were accurate.
Installed each P-Lead on the aft of each magneto inserting the P-Lead into the magneto and tightening the hex nut. Removed one of the four screws on the aft side of the magneto and installed the shield wire. Connected the opposite end of the wire to the ignition switch for the ground.
Vans plans call for the jumping of the left magneto with the impulse coupling at the ignition switch to the ground o the switch, instead of connecting the shield wire to the ground on the ignition switch.
Planning in making this change to match Van's plan.
