Installed Key Switch in right side instrument panel
• Marked location per plans on where to drill the initial hole for the key switch. • Initially used #40 drill bit to locate hole for key switch. • Used the 1/2" unibit to increase the diameter. • Used my larger unibit to get to the final initial size - that is the largest size you can drill and leave material in the panel for the tab required to lock the switch into place. • Used the key switch cover to mark the remaining panel to remove with a file. • Using a file, gradually removed material from the panel - test fitting the key switch numerous times until I got to the point where the key switch fit as desired. • Deburred the key switch hole with scotch brite pad. • Installed the key switch.
