Brief Description:  Prop Governor Re-Adjust and Re-Install

Well, after talking with Ken at Vans, I learned the bracket mount is only 1/2 of my problem, the lever, and actually the governor minus the housing needs to rotate about 180 degrees for the control cable to connect properly, and the console lever to do its job properly.

Removed the prop governor (again), removed the safety wire on the 6 screws. Loosened the six screws enough to rotate the governor approximately 180 degrees so the lever is at the top of the governor, and the bracket as mounted on the top of the governor, now allows the control cable to pass through the bracket and align with the lever.

Did not re-safety the 6 screws, until I test fit the prop control cable to make sure it can be adjusted to run from the high to low rpm stops.

Initial fitting of the control cable shows it can reach the high rpm stop, but the low rpm stop is about 1/4" off. The specs say the max distance from the low rpm stop is .13 inches, which is a fraction more than 1/8".

Need to sort this out a bit further. I suspect the culprit is the jam nuts I installed on the clevis cable ends in the throttle quadrant, these are 1/8" thickness and seem to be an issue for the prop governor cable full forward movement.

I'll need to remove these jam nuts - I thought they were a good idea (not called for), but it seems they are not.
