Brief Description: Mixture Control Rod Modification
When performing the initial fitting of the lower cowl, it was apparent the mixture control level contacted the bottom of the lower cowl when fully extended.
Decided to have 5/16" removed from the offset (this was the dimension of the spacer). Took the lever to shop specializing in race car mods, they easily cut and welded removing 5/16" from the offset, but only loosing something less than 1/16" in length.
Re-installed minus the 5/15" spacer. I really will not know if this will work well until I can fit the upper cowl, followed by the lower cowl. If it does not work, I will order the straight mixture lever control # 2522004 from Avstar.
