Time to install the Prop Governor Bracket on the MT Prop Governor… • Oriented the prop governor bracket on the aft side of the prop governor to determine which screws on the governor require removal. • Removed safety wire on affected screws, removed screws on aft side of prop governor • Installed bracket on aft side of prop governor, re-installing screws, and torqued as required per MT Installation Manual. • Safety wired re-installed screws. • Installed prop governor on aft of engine on accessory case pad.
Quickly realized the four studs on the prop governor pad are about ¼” too short, there is barely enough thread for placing the bolts minus the required washers.
Upon further researched, determined there are commonly two stud lengths for the prop governor, 1&3/4”, and 2”… guess which I have.
Ordered LW31C-16 studs (4) from Aircraft Spruce to replace the LW31C-12 studs I apparently have… Four studs, 7.99 per.
