Brief Description:  New Baggage Door

While working on fitting the new forward baggage door, found the trailing skin does not sit flush with the top skin, because the aft door rib is high about 2/3 way down the rib, forcing the skin up and above the top skin. I think I have been here before.

I try to change the shape of the rib a bit, which proves difficult (as in not really possible).

I found the only way to get the trailing edge door skin to lay flush with the top skin is to only clecoe the top and bottom pre-punched holes in common with the aft rib. Doing this I can get the skin edge and door trailing edge to meet up nicely.

Drilled and filed the baggage door skin for the cabinet lock.

Clecoed the baggage door skin, forward and aft ribs (top and bottom pp only), hinge support, hinge, and lock support in place and strapped to the fuse, aligning the skin as well as possible to fit in the opening of the top skin.

Riveting requires two folks, one inside with the bucking bar, the other outside with the rivet gun. I need to select a victim, uh, i mean a partner to assist!!
