After trying several times to see how the baggage door skin aligns with the top skin and firewall, got frustrated as the skin was short about 3/8" in width, just refused to align. Studying the plans, and having the original door not pre-punched, I was very apprehensive about trying to get the door to come together.
Order a new door from Vans which is pre-punched.
Made the lock pins from the 3/8" tube as specified, took mutiple attempts to get the correct 5 7/16" length, locate the 1/8" hole 5/16" from the end of the pin. Used a Drimel and cutoff wheel to create the slot for the lock plate, then smoothed all the edges using scotch brite wheel. Still need the AN526-632R-8 screws and AN365-632A nuts.
