Brief Description:  Sorting out the parts

My RV mentor, Lynn Hall (N554LH - RV9 builder/owner) went with me to triage the project and determine if this would be a go/no go decision. After a week of consideration, made Clifford an offer which he accepted. Rented a U-haul truck to pick up the project, (~ 60 miles from Columbus, GA, directly westbound - HDG 270) to Little Texas, which is just east of Tuskeegee, AL. Clifford live in his own airpark with a large hanger, a Cessna Cardinal, and the biggest Airstream I have ever seen. Removed the emp from the Fuse, and sorted, identified and loaded into the U-Haul for the drive back to Columbus. On the truck, the steering wheel was somehow merely a suggestion for directional control... not fun at all.

Lynn was fantastic, having completed an RV-9A, he recognized parts easily, and new what was, and what was not part of the airplane.

Lynn and Ken help to unload the RV-8 into the new factory (my garage). Spent the next two weeks just doing the major triage on parts. The kit had not been touched in years, and there are layers of dust and dirt on everything. I will come to realize that Clifford did not really follow the suggested build sequence, but, is not really an issue as I have to determine what has been done, and what has not, regardless.
