Brief Description:  Post DAR Inspection Items

There are a few post DAR Inspection items on my list.

• Adjusted the FW fuel line to fuel pump, removing the cushion clamp on the engine mount, adjusting the connection at the pump, which lifted the line and pulled it away from the FW ramp.
• Removed FAB, sprayed K&N filter with oil, let sit 20 minutes and respray missed pleats, let dry. Drilled two 1/8” holes in the FAB, one in the lowest point inside the filter, the second on the lowest point of the FAB, to allow fuel to drain and not collect in the FAB. Re-installed FAB.
• Drilled a 1/8" hole in the lowest part of the rudder fairing for water draining
• Tapped the 5/16" hole for the wing tie downs. Did this so I can tie down the plane at OSH next year.
• Removed the tail wheel and HW assembly, knocked off the surface rust using the scotch brite wheel and pad. Cleaned, then primed with Rustoleum self-etching gray primer. Let dry and re-assembled. Installed new cotter pin on axle castle nut and bolt. Torqued nylock for AN3 bolts to nuts 25" pounds.

Other to dos:
• Drill a 1/8" hole in the fuse just before each bulkhead so water, etc. can drain.
• Find the red cap for the ELT which holds the arm switch in place. I know I have it, where the heck is it?
• Trim back the landing gear fairing a bit where it 'nearly' contacts the brake line at the bottom of the gear creating more clearance. I will fly with no gear leg fairings to start phase 1.
