Using a straight edge and rotary cutter, cut measured strips of fiberglass cloth per Van's recommendation, stating at 1/2" width, and increasing each strip 1/4", so when it is laid, it overlays the previous strip by 1/8" on each side. The idea is to lay the 1/2" strip dead center on the joint of the windscreen and top skin, then proceed with adding each new strip centered the same way, so the cloth overlays the previous.
