Brief Description:  CAT Duct Routing / FWD Baggage Floor Mod

Decided I want to modify the forward baggage floor off plans in order to make it easy to remove the floor when needed, without having to remove the CAT tube or otherwise dis-connect the tube from the NACA vent.

Borrowed the rivet pattern and design from the existing floor, I marked and cut the floor in two pieces, the smaller piece I drilled a hole with a hole saw for the CAT tube, which will get grommet edging. I created a new support from aluminum angle, and on the small floor, marked and riveted the angle. The new support is two angle pieces riveted together in a T-shape. In the new support where in common with the larger floor, which will be easily removed, I marked and drilled for nut plates.

Deburred and dimpled the new support, dimpled the nut plate rivet attachments, and then riveted the nut plates in place. I can now leave the small floor in place, and remove the large floor easily without having to mess with the CAT tube.
