Proceeded with installing the canopy rail pins. Measured and marked equal distant points on the inboard and outboard side of the forward canopy to drill for the canopy pins. Carefully drilled the center point of the inboard side with a new #40, then a #30 going through the outboard side of the canopy frame.
The pins are come from Cleveland Tool, and are 1/4" diameter. I then drilled the inboard hole to 1/4", then drilled through the outboard hole using a 1/4" reamer bit. The pins fit nicely and stay in place until you pull or depress the button on the inboard side.
