Brief Description: Fresh Air NACA Vent for Rear Seat
Installed the CAT tube on the NACA vent in the right wing. While this sounds easy, it’s not so easy with the wing installed on the plane. Getting access to the NACA vent is through the inboard access panel on the bottom of the wing, the vent is in the rib bay next to the access entry. Getting the tool on the 2” clamp was interesting since the clamp is initially loose and there’s no way to get two hands in the space.
To hold the clamp in place, I wedged a run out painter’s tape roll between the inboard side of the clamp and the rib. I was then able to get the socket on the clamp and tighten the CAT tube on to the NACA vent.
