Continued with the build of the new HS. Tapered the rear spar reinforcement bars. Removed the edge of the reinforcement bars using the scotch brite wheel, and the clecoed and matched drilled to the rear spar, first #40 then #30.
After tapering the rear spar reinforcement bars, I realized I mis-read the plans and used the wrong diameter call-out, I had used the call out for the HS forward spar reinforcement angles, not the aft HS spar reinforcement bars… which meant I had too much taper. Good grief!
