Brief Description:  Baggage Door Fitting

On to something other than fairings. The baggage door fits, but I have not installed the door lock pins, or the pin blocks on the fuse. Finally got around to install the lock pins using the HW called out AN526C832-8 screws and AN365-632A nuts. This took some figuring since the baggage door interior skin is already riveted in place. The trick is to pull the pin into the door, making sure it still is captured by the snap bushing, enough to turn the lock plate where the pin attached perpendicular to the installed position. Doing this enables getting a closed end socket on the nut while turning the screw.

Locating the forward and aft pin blocks on the baggage compartment skins, determined both needed to be shaved down a bit to allow the baggage door to close. Taped them in place and marked a trim line based on the baggage door supports. Removed the pin blocks, then used the band saw to trim each block. Rounded the edges of each pin block. Here is an index mark on each block which indicates which side faces aft. Marked each block for the forward and aft location. Locating exactly where the pin blocked need to be is going to be interesting.
