Brief Description:  Inlet Ramp Positioning

After marking trim lines on the left and right air inlet ramps for the top cowl, positioned the ramps in place and matched rill #40 a few holes through the cowl to hold the ramps in place. Initially, I just drilled and clecoed where the ramp is in common with the air inlet, leaving the top portion of the cowl free, then installed the top cowl in place with all fasteners, to ensure then when I match drill the top cowl, the cowl still fits properly.

After match drilling all holes, removed the top cowl, then applied a mixture of 105/205 epoxy and hardener to the inside of the air inlet ramps where in contact with the top cowl, then clecoed to the top cowl. To keep the clecoes from getting epoxied to the top cowl, I coated the clecoes with fuel lube. I worked quickly to get the top cowl back in place, then inserted the clecoes on the top cowl.
