After walking around OSH and seeing many aircraft with a nicer looking setup for the landing light, I decided to simply ditch the bracket and mount the landing light flush to the wing tip. The landing light diameter is 2.25", so located on the wing tip how the light fixture should orient to get it as far outboard as possible. Turns out, a 45-degree turn allows the light to sit very close to the outboard edge, and still allow for the two #6 screws on each side that will fasten the light to the wing tip fairing.
Mostly for looks, I cut some aluminum down to side and traced the wing tip shape, then used the band saw to trim away the excess, and finally filed and fitted to the wing tip light cove.
