Brief Description:  Fuel Tank Attach Brackets

With the rear spar fasteners in place, proceeded with making the left and right fuel tank attach brackets. This big hunk of U channel has been in the last remaining bin for, well, years, and I was unsure where this came into play. Now I know... Two fuel tanks attach brackets are needed, one for each tank near the leading edge of the wing. These brackets will be bolted to the fuse, and mated to the attach brackets on each tank.

Made the initial size markings and cut using a new band saw blade, cut like butter thankfully. After the initial cuts, I had two equally sized L-shaped pieces to mark to make the final cuts. It did take some time for me to get oriented on the cuts required. After marking the left side bracket (because that's the side illustrated) I used the band saw to cut the stuff away I did not need.

After cutting, used the file and scotch brite wheel to smooth edges and corners.

Test fitted, I'll need to remove some of the material in common with the fuse at the leading edge, for the tab to fit snuggly against the tabs on the tank...
