Decided that riveting the camloc tabs to the lower cowl is the way to proceed. The Skybolt instructions say to space the first tab at 3" in center from the firewall tab which is in line with the cowl split. The idea is the firewall tab will appear in line with the tabs riveted to the lower cowl on the split line from the outside. The remaining camloc tabs are spaced at 3.5" on center, this looks to be 10 tabs per side. I am dealing with the first nine tabs because the tenth will need some customizing for the front of the cowl.
Used side clamps to hold the tabs in place, making sure the spacing is good. Used the rivet fan to l locate the holes for the flush rivets for the tabs, and drill #40, moving the fan along the side of the lower right cowl progressing toward the front.
So far so good...
