Brief Description:  Fitting and Camlocs for Top Cowl

Trimmed the lower left and right sides of the top cowl at the firewall flange where the 8 degree bend occurs. Skybolt provides hardware to use on the Camloc tabs for drilling a #40 center hole for the Camloc tabs. Taped the hardware in place, and placed the cowl. Used reverse lighting to locate the holes in the hardware and drilled #40.

The holes in the hardware are actually #30... Removed the top cowl and increased the #40 holes to #30. Moved the hardware so that it was in every other tab, leaving one tab open. Replaced the top cowl, and with reverse lighting, center drilled a 15/32" hole with a unibit. Completed drilling the 15/32" holes for the top cowl.

Removed the top cowl. Using the Skybolt hardware, inserted the hardware in the 15/32" holes of the top cowl, using the temporary grommets provided so all can be removed for sanding, priming and painting later.
