So, I am probably crazy for doing this... Who needs two radios in an RV8? I could just go with the single com on the GTR 200, forget the GTR 20, and not need the GMA 240 and just keep trucking.
Or, I can take this "opportunity" to add the GMA 240 and make some changes to the entire panel, including:
• Changing the RC Alan Flap Switch to the momentary down switch needed to the flap control. • Re-orient the cut out for the ELT switch from horizontal to vertical • Correct the spacing of the (3) CB's for the ISS Trickle, USB 1 and 2. • Remove the extra 1/8" space between the 3 sets of 5 CB's on the main panel. • And of course add the GMA 240 and locate the LED indicator in a pleasing location.
Well, Jeremey is a go for cutting a new panel... so Plan B in action.
Delete the hanger door and work light - and we are flying!
