Brief Description:  GMA 240 Audio Panel Planning, etc...

While reviewing the G3X Touch Installation manual for sorting out how to connect the GTR 200 panel mount radio, and the GTR 20 remote mount radio, to the GDU 460 via the CAN BUS (because surely you can do that....) I realized that the wiring diagram for the GDU 460 seems to just support a single source. Surely I was missing something, because I have two radios (the first was the GTR 20 remote, than later I purchased the GTR 200 because I though having panel control was a good idea.

Well, per G3Xpert@garmin.com - "... an audio panel is required for 2 com...". Not the first time assumption got me into a fix. So either I go with single com, or add an audio panel. Ordered GMA 240 from Steinair with connector kit.

Mocked up where the GMA 240 will install, I have room above the GTR 200 comm, BUT the RC Allen LED elevator trim indicator will need to move, and this leaves a rough square hole above the GMA 240 to contend with... I could just move up the LED indicator to clear the GMA 240, but due to my failure to plan for this contingency, one of the screws attaching the panel to the sub-panel behind is in the way, so it has to shift right... leaving a bigger hole...

More contemplation is required... Correcting this like I think I want to means cutting a new panel, in which case I would cut both sub-panels as well to make some changes.

In the meantime, remove the custom bracket for the GTX 23 remote transponder and GTR 20 remote radio, and added lightness... Also, re-designed the brackets holding the screws for the GTR 20 so the radio is suspected from, and not screwed to the bracket.

At least this re-direction presents an opportunity to make some changes to the panel that I wish I had considered first go around.
