Brief Description: Aileron Skins, Hinge Reinforcements
Today I decided to remove the aileron lower skins that were taped down flat on my table with double sided duct tape. This was a struggle. Ultimately I used a hypodermic needle to inject acetone underneath the aileron skins. This worked okay but it took me awhile to come up with this plan. I will not use the double stick tape again for this application! I trimmed up the skins and marked the aileron skin locations onto the skins. I added the hinge aluminum back up strips on the back side of the aileron shear webs. I had cut the strips years ago when I first started this project. The strips were bondoed in position then a single play laminate was added over the top.
I also worked on the wing tips a little more, miscellaneous fiberglassing.
