Brief Description:  Final Controls Check - Misc

Dace Kirk had suggested that I reinstall the controls and check to make sure that all the rib cutouts had good clearance to the pushrod tubes. I had powder coated all the controls since I removed them so it took a while to get it all together. I also discovered that where I had run all my wing wiring out of the conduits was not good with the controls so I moved it all to exit at the outboard rib of the LH seat bay. I could not find my rod end bearings for the aileron pushrods so I was unable to complete this task.

I cleaned up the LH wing skin doubles by sanding excess mill fiber off and prep sanding the bonding surfaces of the doubler. I trimmed the rear spar ends with my Fien tool and a hand razor saw to clean them up a bit. I also cleaned up a bit and inventoried my supplies. Dace is coming out tomorrow for a final check up on the wing prior to closing which should occur next week.
