Brief Description:  Rear Spar Fitting - Rear Spar Layups

Finished sanding the rib and false spar capstrips that I was not able to finish last night. After that I worked at resizing the rear spar for the addition of the final capstrips. I used the same technique that I used to fit resize the ribs. To do this I weighted the skins down in position concentrating the weights over the wing rib areas. This was I was able to assure that he skins were sitting on the capstrips. Sizing the rear spar this was will make sure that all the capstrips make good contact with the wing skin.

After I was happy with the fit I starting making the first of the rear spar rear face layups. This is different than the plans approach. I will be adding rear spar capstrips laying up the rear face of the spar and then after closing adding more tape plys to attach the upper skin to the rear spar aft face.

I put down the first five of fifteen pieces of fiberglass. The final result will result in four plys at the root tapering to three plys tapering to two plys at the tips. This is the plans configuration layup just done now versus after close.

I also promoted a new gallon of resin for the next session
