Brief Description:  Spar Cap Sealing - Baffle Cut Out Sealing

Dace Kirk of Phoenix Composites came over yesterday to look over the wing in preparation for closing the wing. I am going to hire some guys from Phoenix Composites to help me when the day comes. He suggested that I seal the forward edge of the wing spar with light fiberglass cloth and seal the baffle foam core in the baffle cutouts. I used 1.5 ounce cloth from a hobby store to do the spar edge layups. I used strips about one inch wide cut on the 45.

I used a rotary file on a dremel tool to carve a the foam out of the baffle cresents. I then filled the depression with cabosil to seal them from fuel. This was easy on the top side tougher on the bottom side against the lower skin.
