Brief Description:  Pitot Tube Mount and Preparing for Wing Close

I needed to create a flat mounting pad on the wing inner skin for the pitot tube mount my friend Rob had welded up for me the other day. I fixtured the pitot tube into position using my V-Cut board that I used to initially set up the mount for welding. The pitot tube was taped into the V-cut board athe the board was clamped up so that it was at the proper angle and perpendicular to the wing spar. After I was happy with the pitot tube position I removed the mount and waxed it up. I then spread mill fiber on the wing skin in the area of the mount. I then put the mount back into position on the wing and pitot tube and squeezed out the excess mill fiber. This will create a level base to fix the mount and give me a well aligned pitot tube.

I also cut the remaining boards for the wing skin bonding (to sit the blocks on for weight distribution). For the rear spar I ran boards through the table saw with the blade set a 10 degrees. That gives me a pretty flat surface for the block to sit on.
