I bought a used standpipe/fuel gauge set up from a wrecked G2. The mounting ring that is bondedto the top wing skin was cut out of the wing with a saber saw. I spent about an hour cutting away the old composite. I cut it close with a band saw, then heated it up to about 200 deg F and peeled away what I could. I then put the ring in the lathe and cut the rest of the resin away.
