Brief Description:  Seat Pan Nutplates

I drilled out the 24 seat pan mounting screw holes to .200 for #8 floating nutplates. I decided to use Click Bond bonded nutplates here because they are being installed in an area that is all foam core making installation of rivets troublesome. I mixed up 20 gram batch of medium cabosil which I loaded into a syringe. I then used the syringe to apply the cabosil to the Click Bond nut plates and installed them into the seat pan cutouts.

I then refilled the seat pan edges with q-cell mix to fill in some low spots. I also mixed up some q-cell and bonded a couple of scrap pieces of 40 lb foam to make a big enough square for a foam wedge I need to add to the aft spar face where the electric flap acuator bolts through. I will work on shaping the wedge tomorrow, I am thinking table saw. The 40 lb foam is very hard, more so than most wood!
