Brief Description: Gear Door #1 (RH) and Pitot Tube Mount
Bonded the core to the LH door skin, same proceedure as the RH.
I also located the pitot tube in its mount to prepare the mount for welding. The pitot tube was fixtured so that it is perpendicular to the spar an angled down 2.3 degrees. The down angle correlates to the angle of incidence on the wing in cuise flight. This should result in the lowest drag installation by aligning the pitot with the cruise airflow. I used a bunch of strings, plumb bobs, framing square, and digital level to accomplish this. Way to much time on a detail that is probably not that important.
I bondoed the pitot mount plate to the streamlined tubing used to mount the pitot. I will then tack weld between the bondo, remove the bondo tacks and finish weld.
