Finally Back to THE PROJECT! I disassembled all three gear legs to inspect for S/B161 corrosion. I did not find any. I then preped the ends of the struts for epoxy primer to prevent corrosion when the aircraft is put into service. This is all per the Glasair S/B. I preped the area to be primed with 400 grit sandpaper then mask the gear legs for priming. I used the landing gear end pulgs to protect the inside of the strut tubes from getting primer where I don't want it to get. My thought is the part that is filled with hydraulic fluid does not need the primer and I don't want to risk FODing the fluid with primer flakes.
