Brief Description: Control Sleeve Reinforcement-Addendum 1
I decided to follow the elevator sleeve reinforcement technique presented in addendum 1 instead of the welding option I was considering. I milled a block of aluminum to use as a spacer. Drilled it on the mill, match drilled it to the control sleeve. I then deburred the spacer and sleeve weldment. I then bead blasted the sleeve in preparation for powder coating. I will powder coat for corrosion protection before I rivet the pieces together. This took a long time!
