I decided to finish up the fuel sump on the bottom of the wing. I started by sanding the gel coat off around the perimeter of the sump. I then cleaned up the mill fiber that the previous builder used to bond the aluminum drain fitting to the sump. I sanded the sump surfaces in preparation for layups. The wing skin needed to be locally relieved to allow the fuel finger screen to be installed. I mixed up some mill fiber to fill the gaps between the wing skin and the sump. After the mill fiber set up I mixed up a batch of thick Qcell to create smooth fillets and to seal the foam in the relieved area. Next will be a two ply layup.
