Brief Description:  Leading Edge Layup - First Ply

Finally back to the Glasair. I had let the annual slide on my Eagle so I attack that the day after wing close almost a month ago. I had taped over the leading edge seam after wing close to protect the tank from dirt and dust. I started the session by removing this tape and adding tape to the top and bottom edges of the leading edge recess to protect the wing skins from the resin brush. I then wiped down the recess (sanded before wing close) with acetone. I completed the first of four plys. Each ply is made up of four pieces of cloth. The edges of the cloth are butted up to each other, not overlapped. It is actually pretty easy to get good butt joints if you are patient with the brush! I will finish the other three plys during this week.
