Brief Description:  Wing Close Prep - Final

Finished prep sanding the LH and RH upper wing skins with 80 grit. I used a combination of 2 and 3 inch sanding disks and various hand sanders. I then placed both skins on the wing to check for final fit and final prep sanding of the leading edge recesses. This was all done by hand sanding.

After the prep sanding was complete I started cleaning. Wing skins, floor, inside the wings, etc. Removed the last of the control hardware, masked all the bolt holes, masked the wiring, blew out all the pitot static and fuel vent lines, etc. After everthing was masked, cleaned and vacuumed I wiped down all the cap strips and fuel bays with acetone.

I bought a continous piece of fiberglass mat for the main spar. Jill cut the material to width for me and rolled it up stored in a zip lock for tomorrow. Jill also measured out all the resin for me and put it on my mixing table in order of use. Based on Dace's recommendation we started with 10 cups of 300 grams a piece for the mill fiber cabo mix and five cups of 250 grams for wetting things out (this is per wing panel).

I then did a bunch of final fiddle before starting to mix all the mill fiber and cabo into the resin for tomorrow. The mixing took two hours.
