Brief Description:  Aft Spar Capstrips

Prepared the aft spar (V'd out the foam core) for bonding on the capstrips. I prep sanded the forward aft spar face for the two ply laminate that will tie the capstrip to the aft spar. I then vacuumed and did a quick acetone wipe. I used about 200 grams of cabosil mix to fill the spar troughs and weighted down the LH wing skin. I used my finger to remove squeeze out were ever I could reach.

While the LH wing skin was weighted in position I decided to tack bond the fuel vent fitting in the LH wing skin using mill fiber mixture. I drilled four holes in the welded washer on the fittings. These holes will provide four mill fiber rivets to form effectively locking the fitting from rotatiing while being torqued. I also sanded the washer with 80 grit for bond prep. After the tack cures I will fill in the foam cavity on the backside and cover with a sealing laminate.

I only had enough weights to do one skin at I time so I prepped the right hand side the same as the left and mixed up another 200 grams of cabosil minus the MEKP for an early morning session to complete the RH side
